About The Guests

Rebecca Hanson has been teaching at Roland Park Country School, located in Baltimore, Maryland, for 22 years. Teaching a wide range of courses such as History of World Reglions, US History, Constitutional Law, and Peace & Social Justice, Ms. Hanson is able to teach her students valuable information on how to be heard in the decision-making forums, both locally and in our Nation's Capital. Her particular interest and expertise in US History has helped Ms. Hanson to impress upon her students the ways in which the voice of the individual can have a big impact on important decisions that govern our lives. Ms. Hanson has expanded her knowledge through her love of travel, where she has visited 48 states within the US and has traveled abroad to India and Fulbright as an exchange teacher. Ms. Hanson lives in Baltimore with her husband and her four year old son.

Richard Alan Coleman, Jr. (Alan), is a senior at Gilman School, in Baltimore, Maryland and will be matriculating to The Johns Hopkins University this fall as a Physics Major. Though science and math are Mr. Coleman's passion, he also has a keen interest in politics, as he believes that in the United States of America, it is every citizen's responsibility to be actively involved in the management of the country through its political leaders. This philosophy has prompted Mr. Coleman to grasp opportunities throughout his high school years to obtain the knowledge to pursue his goal, participating in several Model United Nations Conferences, once in the prestigious position of a triumverate, Mock Trial, the Gilman Debate Team, and also attended a summer course sponsored by The Junior Statesman of America at Georgetown University, where he studied an Advanced Placement course in U.S. Government. In fact, it was through courses in Constitution Law and Peace & Social Justice that Mr. Coleman took at Roland Park Country School that he met Ms. Hanson, who was his teacher. Through her knowledge and expertise, Mr. Coleman was inspired to take action on his concerns over drilling in Bristol Bay. Mr. Coleman is the son of Dr. Richard Alan Coleman, Sr., and Mrs. Monica Coleman, the host of "Let's Talk Waterways".

The show airs every Friday 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. EST.
